Constitutional Documents and Ownership
IDCOL was created by the Government of Bangladesh (GOB) with assistance from International Development Agency (IDA), a member of the World Bank Group, under Private Sector Infrastructure Development Project (PSIDP) pursuant to the following agreements executed on November 17, 1997:
- Development Credit Agreement executed between the GOB and IDA; and
- Project Agreement executed between IDA and IDCOL.
An Agency and Administration
Agreement was executed between the GOB and IDCOL on January 25, 1998.
IDCOL was registered as a public limited company under the Companyies
Act 1994 and licensed by the Bangladesh Bank as a non-bank financial institution
on January 5, 1998. IDCOL’s share capital is fully subscribed by the GOB.
